Key Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with delivering therapy plans tailored to elementary-aged children
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech and language disorders in elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and treatment plans
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services
- Monitor student progress, documenting and communicating outcomes to families and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable input to multidisciplinary teams
- Educate and support teachers and parents regarding strategies to support communication development
