Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • State licensure (or eligibility) for SLP practice in schools
  • Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation standards
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
  • Previous school-based experience is preferred, though not required

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students with varied communication needs
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and contribute to IEP teams
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Implement evidence-based intervention strategies in individual, small-group, and classroom settings
  • Consult with teachers, families, and other specialists to optimize student outcomes
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to an inclusive, supportive school community
