Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist)
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong background in assessment, treatment planning, and individualized education program (IEP) development
- Excellent communication, time management, and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) a plus
- Passion for working with diverse student populations and their families
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students
- Develop tailored therapy plans and provide direct intervention to meet each child’s unique needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on supporting students with speech/language needs
- Contribute to IEP meetings and help design effective strategies to foster student growth
