Step into a rewarding role supporting students for the upcoming 26/27 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a welcoming educational setting near Newton, MS. As an SLP on a contract basis, you’ll have the opportunity to help children reach their full communicative potential and collaborate with a dedicated team of educators and families.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active SLP license in Mississippi, or eligibility to obtain
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong CFs will be considered
  • Prior experience in a K-12 school environment strongly desired
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
  • Develop tailored therapy plans and provide direct intervention to students
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and provide updates to educational teams and families
  • Serve as a resource and collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
  • Support inclusive practices to help students thrive in both special education and general education settings
