Step into a long-term substitute opportunity offering valuable experience in a supportive school environment. A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist is sought for a contract position at a middle school serving students with diverse needs. This assignment runs from August 24, 2027, through December 21, 2027, with a consistent weekday schedule from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license
  • School-based SLP experience preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP procedures and conducting evaluations
  • Ability to work effectively with various student classifications
  • Collaborative approach to partnering with educators and families
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy and consultation based on students’ IEPs
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 23 middle-school students
  • Conduct initial and reevaluation assessments, prepare thorough evaluation reports
  • Compile and submit a trimester progress report for each student on the caseload
  • Participate in annual IEP review meetings scheduled during the contract period
  • Fulfill additional assigned duties, such as lunch or bus supervision, as needed
