Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience providing speech therapy services to elementary school students is highly valued
- Strong assessment, intervention planning, and progress monitoring skills
- Effective communication abilities with students, teachers, families, and other professionals
- Comfortable using digital platforms for documentation and virtual services (if hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and diagnosis of speech, language, and communication disorders within an elementary school population
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide targeted individual and group therapy to address speech-language goals
- Monitor and document student outcomes, adjusting therapy strategies as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and other staff to integrate speech-language services into the school environment
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district policies related to speech-language services
