As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated educators and other professionals to help students reach their communication and academic goals.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid SLP licensure in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply
- Experience providing speech therapy in a school setting is a plus
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans targeting communication disorders
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with school and legal standards
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students individually or in groups
- Serve as a resource and advocate, offering guidance to parents, caregivers, and educators
