Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia or eligible for temporary licensure
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Sciences
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows considered
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children or within a school setting is a plus
  • Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments, identifying students’ speech and language needs
  • Develop, implement, and revise IEPs in partnership with parents and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student outcomes
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training sessions
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere for all students
