School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Norristown, Pennsylvania

Step into a rewarding contract position supporting K-8 students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time opportunity is available for the current school year, with options to extend into ESY (Extended School Year) and the following academic year. You'll collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to provide essential services to a diverse student population, including students with a range of disabilities and some who are non-verbal.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid SLP license for practice
• Previous experience in a school setting (K-8 preferred)
• Comfort working with students with varied and sometimes complex communication needs
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff
• Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to K-8 students
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs in partnership with IEP teams
• Conduct thorough assessments and monitor student progress
• Provide strategies and resources to families and staff for generalized communication skills
• Create engaging interventions for both verbal and non-verbal students
• Document session notes and maintain compliance with all regulations
• Participate in school meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and staff training
