Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) supporting a medically fragile, bed-bound middle school student. This assignment is based in a home setting near Haverford, just west of Philadelphia, with a start date available immediately or at the start of the next school year. The arrangement is intended to extend through the end of the 2027 school year, offering long-term consistency for the student and family.
If you are an experienced SLP—especially one who is bilingual in Spanish and English—your language skills will be invaluable for collaborating with the student’s non-English speaking parents. However, strong non-bilingual candidates are also encouraged to apply, as a language interpreter can be coordinated if needed. This position emphasizes building a stable, trusting relationship over several years, with an initial schedule of 2.5 hours per week and potential for expanded hours as needs grow.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCC certification
- Ability to work onsite; virtual/teletherapy services not possible due to student needs
- Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish and English, but non-bilingual applicants are welcome
- Experience with medically fragile or bed-bound students is a plus
- Positive communicator able to collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy services in the student’s home, adjusting methods to meet unique medical and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Coordinate with occupational and physical therapists to ensure integrated care
- Foster family engagement and culturally sensitive communication
This role offers the chance to make a deep, meaningful impact on a student’s life—while building steady, long-term professional relationships. If you’re driven to help students overcome obstacles in communication and thrive, we would love to connect with you. Apply today to discover how you can make a difference!
