This long-term substitute position runs from August through December, perfect for professionals eager to make a substantial impact within a welcoming school environment. Clinicians currently completing their Clinical Fellowship (CF) are encouraged to apply, as long as they are comfortable with the assignment’s planned conclusion in December.
Successful candidates will enjoy a structured workweek from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The first week is dedicated to comprehensive training, ensuring you are well-prepared before students arrive on September 8th. The role involves managing a caseload of 40–50 students, providing direct services, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to foster student progress and achievement. The Director is available for interviews this week, providing a smooth and timely hiring process.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (CCC-SLP); open to strong Clinical Fellows ready for growth
- Experience with K-8 student populations preferred
- Ability to take initiative, organize caseloads, and collaborate with educators and families
- Comfortable with documentation, IEP development, and progress tracking
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work a contract ending in December
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to K-8 students
- Develop and implement IEPs customized to student needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with instructional staff
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with families and staff to support student outcomes
