Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing speech-language support across multiple schools in the Fort Myers area. As a contract Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to help students succeed academically and socially. This role offers both full-time and part-time flexibility (up to 37.5 hours per week), with placements available at various elementary, middle, and high schools from August 11, 2026, to May 27, 2027.
What You Need:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Florida Department of Health SLP license and/or valid Florida teacher certification
- Previous experience in school-based settings (preferred)
- Current fingerprint clearance, or the ability to complete/verify as per AHCA Clearinghouse requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and deliver evidence-based therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Write individualized education plans (IEPs), maintain timely documentation, and track student progress
- Work with diverse caseloads (ages and needs will vary by assignment)
- Consult with families, teachers, and support staff to integrate therapy strategies into the general education setting
- Participate in eligibility meetings and multidisciplinary teams
