Make a difference every day by supporting students in a vibrant, collaborative school environment near North Haven, CT. This long-term contract opportunity spans from as soon as July 1st, through November 1st, 2026, and includes both the Extended School Year (ESY) and New School Year (NSY) periods. You'll work at a single, well-resourced site that supports two specialized programs: one serving students from PreK to 8th grade, and another serving individuals from 9th to 22 years old. The caseload is manageable in size, allowing you to provide meaningful, focused support to students with high needs, including those on the autism spectrum or with significant behavioral challenges. You'll also benefit from a robust support team, including six other speech-language pathologists and numerous behavioral therapists.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP license for the state of Connecticut
  • Previous school-based experience preferred
  • Comfortable working with high-needs populations, particularly children and young adults with autism or behavioral issues
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services in alignment with students’ IEP goals
  • Develop and implement interventions for students with communication needs
  • Participate actively in multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with fellow SLPs and behavioral therapists
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
  • Support students’ skill development in both classroom and individual settings
