Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or eligibility to obtain in Nevada
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but candidates completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are also encouraged
- Experience or strong interest in pediatrics and school-based therapy
- Commitment to providing high-quality, child-centered care for diverse learners
- Effective communication and organization skills for collaborating with students, families, and educational teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to student needs
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Consult with teachers and staff to support classroom integration and generalization of skills
- Educate families and caregivers, providing strategies to reinforce progress beyond the school setting
