Qualifications:
- Active Arkansas Speech Language Pathologist license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with varied communication needs
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations to identify speech/language disorders
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, update progress reports, and maintain thorough documentation
- Develop functional, evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual student goals
- Offer consultation and training to staff on speech/language development and best practices
- Stay current with new developments in the field and maintain required licensure
