A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in North Port, FL. This contract role is set for the current school year (CSY), providing a valuable opportunity to support young students' communication development within an educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged children
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders in the pediatric population
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff and families
