Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with best practices in assessment and individualized education program (IEP) development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to student IEPs and progress reviews
  • Document and report on student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Provide resources and strategies to teachers and parents to support student communication needs
  • Engage in professional development and stay updated on current trends in speech-language pathology
