Work with a dedicated team in an engaging school community as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing support for Pre-K through 6th-grade students. This full-time contracted role is based in a single, well-organized school building near the Norwalk, CT area, making collaboration and communication seamless. You’ll develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address a diverse range of speech and language needs, with a particular focus on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as part of your caseload. The position is designed for those who are passionate about making a meaningful impact at the elementary and early childhood levels.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP) in Connecticut
  • Prior experience in school-based SLP settings preferred
  • Comfortable working with a caseload that includes students diagnosed with ASD
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively in a full-time, on-site role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or similar accredited program

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to students in Pre K–6th grade
  • Develop and maintain individualized education plans (IEPs), including regular progress monitoring and documentation
  • Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to support student learning and communication skills
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
  • Offer guidance, resources, and support to school staff regarding speech and language development
  • Adapt therapy approaches to suit a variety of student needs and learning styles
