Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience working in school settings is highly preferred
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with a variety of communication needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine eligibility for speech and language services
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for IEP meetings and ongoing evaluation
- Provide resources and guidance to teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Stay current with best practices and professional development in speech-language pathology
