We're seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide valuable services across a district near Norwich, CT. This full-time contract position runs from August 2026 through June 2027, working Monday through Friday for 35-37.5 hours weekly.
You'll serve a dynamic K-12 caseload, collaborating with educators and support staff to foster communication skills and overall student growth. This position offers the chance to engage with learners across multiple school sites, enhancing your professional experience in a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP-CCC credentials
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality services in a school-based setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy services and consult with teachers, parents, and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing student progress reviews
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district policies
- Engage in professional development and stay current with best practices in the field
