Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and fellow therapists

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students to determine speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and complete required reports within deadlines
  • Participate in IEP meetings as the speech-language expert, contributing to students’ educational planning
  • Provide training and support for teachers and staff on communication strategies and accommodations
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to ensure effective carryover of skills
