Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant educational setting, beginning September 3 and concluding June 10. This position is designed for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP, CCC) to work closely with PreK-6th grade students facing a range of typical speech and language needs. Based out of two welcoming elementary schools near Norwich, VT, you’ll serve a caseload of approximately 30 children.
Your schedule offers the perfect balance, with 22.5 hours per week from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.—leaving your afternoons free to enjoy all that the area has to offer.
Your expertise and background should include:
- Valid SLP license and ability to practice clinically with CCC credentials
- Experience or strong interest in working with PreK-6 populations
- Comfort supporting typical speech, language, and communication needs
- Ability to collaborate with school teams, teachers, and families
- Strong documentation and reporting skills for IEPs and progress notes
- Engaging, positive, and flexible approach to working in school environments
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide direct therapy and interventions tailored to individual and small group needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Contribute to IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families
- Work across Woodstock Elementary and Reading Elementary Schools
- Support a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
