Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • California state licensure or eligibility
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably across early intervention through middle school ages
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students with varying communication disorders
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), set measurable therapy goals, and maintain thorough documentation
  • Partner with general and special education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
  • Offer guidance and tools for classroom teachers on integrating speech and language strategies
  • Monitor student outcomes and adjust interventions based on data and teacher feedback
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development opportunities
