Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- California state licensure or eligibility
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably across early intervention through middle school ages
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students with varying communication disorders
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), set measurable therapy goals, and maintain thorough documentation
- Partner with general and special education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
- Offer guidance and tools for classroom teachers on integrating speech and language strategies
- Monitor student outcomes and adjust interventions based on data and teacher feedback
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development opportunities
