This contract role involves working full-time, four days per week, with a caseload of 35-45 students, focusing predominantly on the 9th-grade population. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
- Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology in California, or eligibility to obtain before the start date.
- Experience providing speech and language services in schools, especially with high school students, is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborative work with teachers, staff, students, and families.
- Strong organizational capability to manage caseload, documentation, and time efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language services in line with student IEPs, targeting communication disorders and academic success.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs and recommend support strategies.
- Develop and implement individualized and group therapy sessions tailored to high school students.
- Collaborate with general and special education teams, participating in meetings and contributing to student goals.
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and timely reports in accordance with school protocols.
- Communicate proactively with families regarding progress and strategies for home support.
