Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid California state licensure for SLP.
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric environment is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Conduct screenings and help determine students’ eligibility for speech services.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary documentation for IEP meetings.
- Offer consultation to teachers and staff on effective strategies within the classroom setting.
- Engage families, providing updates and strategies to support student progress at home.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education services.
