Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Oakland, CA

Seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with an active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support students in a school-based setting for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year, or to start as soon as possible. This contract opportunity is located near Oakland, CA and offers a flexible work arrangement—both full and part-time schedules will be considered.

This position involves working up to 37.5 hours per week with a caseload of up to 65 students for full-time roles. Assignments will be managed at no more than two school sites, providing an accessible and manageable work environment focused on student support and communication development.

Qualifications or desired experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current SLP-CCC certification
• California state licensure (or eligibility)
• Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere

Key responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, aides, and families to set student goals
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy services
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
