School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Oakland, California

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with K-12 students for the upcoming school year! In this engaging contract role, you'll support a diverse group of learners, helping them find their voices and thrive academically and socially. This assignment runs from August 13th through June 5th, empowering you to make a lasting impact throughout the academic year.

The selected SLP will work 37.5 hours per week at a single convenient campus serving approximately 37-41 students. This focused caseload allows for meaningful connections and tailored intervention in a collaborative and enthusiastic school environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Active California SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Experience with school-aged populations in K-12 settings preferred
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage caseload needs efficiently and compassionately

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with their IEP goals
• Conduct evaluations, develop goals, and monitor progress for students with diverse needs
• Work collaboratively with educators, support staff, and families to foster comprehensive student growth
• Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Promote speech, language, and communication development in a positive, engaging learning environment
