Seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification for a K-12 school setting in Oakland, CA. This contract position covers the Extended School Year (ESY) as well as the upcoming next school year. The role is ideal for a licensed SLP ready to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across all grade levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Ability to deliver individualized speech and language therapy to diverse student populations
- Strong collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and support staff
- Willingness to provide or receive supervision; Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered if appropriate supervision can be established
Location:
- Oakland, California, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy sessions
- Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to educational teams and families
- Participate in team meetings, assist with staff training, and support communication goals within the school environment
- Provide services during the Extended School Year program as well as the regular academic year
