School Speech and Language Pathologist | Oakland, California

Seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification for a K-12 school setting in Oakland, CA. This contract position covers the Extended School Year (ESY) as well as the upcoming next school year. The role is ideal for a licensed SLP ready to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students across all grade levels.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Previous experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Ability to deliver individualized speech and language therapy to diverse student populations
• Strong collaboration skills to work with educators, families, and support staff
• Willingness to provide or receive supervision; Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered if appropriate supervision can be established

Location:

• Oakland, California, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade

Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments for students referred for evaluation
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy sessions
• Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to educational teams and families
• Participate in team meetings, assist with staff training, and support communication goals within the school environment
• Provide services during the Extended School Year program as well as the regular academic year
