Candidates must possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) and hold or be eligible for state licensure that meets California’s requirements for practice in educational settings. Experience working with school-aged children is highly valued, as is a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Current SLP-CCC required
- Valid California state license (or eligibility) for school-based SLP
- Experience with IEP development, assessment, and caseload management
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with a variety of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a diverse K-12 population
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred for speech and language concerns
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Document student performance and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for student support teams
- Foster a positive and engaging environment that encourages student growth and confidence
