Make a meaningful impact by providing speech-language services across K-12th grade students for the upcoming full school year in a contract, full-time position located near Oakland, CA. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support students through individualized therapy, collaboration with staff, and advocacy for student communication needs.

Candidates must possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) and hold or be eligible for state licensure that meets California’s requirements for practice in educational settings. Experience working with school-aged children is highly valued, as is a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current SLP-CCC required
  • Valid California state license (or eligibility) for school-based SLP
  • Experience with IEP development, assessment, and caseload management
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with a variety of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a diverse K-12 population

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred for speech and language concerns
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
  • Document student performance and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for student support teams
  • Foster a positive and engaging environment that encourages student growth and confidence
