Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for successful collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement customized therapy plans that promote student growth and progress
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' communication development in the classroom setting
- Maintain documentation and progress notes in accordance with school policies and legal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional insights and recommendations
- Engage families and caregivers to support speech and language development at home
