School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Oakland, California

Step into an impactful role supporting high school students as a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming full school year. This contract position calls for an experienced professional, comfortable working with adolescent populations in a dynamic educational setting. Essential Qualifications:

• Valid credentials as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), with CCC preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) encouraged to apply
• Prior experience in a school-based environment, especially with high school students
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong relationships with students, staff, and families
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based therapy
• Commitment to collaborating within multidisciplinary teams for student support
• Willingness to work onsite (no VOCO/virtual-only arrangements permitted)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students’ communication needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to integrate therapy into students' daily routines
• Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of student progress and interventions
• Engage students in individual or group therapy sessions, tailoring approaches to maximize engagement and progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
• Provide ongoing support, education, and resources to families and educators
