School Speech Language Pathologist - Oakland, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active SLP license in California (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• Clinical competence and knowledge of best practices in evaluating and treating speech, language, and communication disorders
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to tailor interventions for diverse student populations and foster strong partnerships with staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and identify students’ unique speech and language needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
• Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services in both individual and group settings
• Maintain accurate and timely student records, progress reports, and documentation
• Collaborate with educators and families to support students’ academic and social-emotional development
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist with the development of appropriate goals
• Serve as a resource for staff on communication strategies and classroom modifications

This contract position offers a highly competitive hourly rate of $60-$80, commensurate with experience and expertise.
