Make a difference in the lives of young learners as you support early speech and language development with this rewarding contract opportunity. We’re seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to step in and provide essential coverage on two consecutive FMLA assignments. You’ll start with early intervention services and then transition to serving children in a variety of engaging educational settings.
Assignment Details:
- Contract runs from approximately July 27, 2026, to January 29, 2027
- Full-time schedule, 40 hours per week
- The first assignment focuses on early intervention, working with young children from July through October. Primarily serves home-bound clients alongside an experienced therapist.
- In the second phase, you’ll switch to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) from November to January, primarily in learning centers across the area, with occasional travel within Douglas County.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license to practice in the state
- Experience with early intervention and preschool assessments/interventions preferred
- Ability to collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable and comfortable providing services in both home and classroom environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to children ages birth to five
- Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans individualized to each child’s needs
- Work closely with another SLP to support home-based sessions
- Provide services both one-on-one and in group settings at learning centers
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
- Communicate with families, teachers, and other team members to optimize outcomes
