Step into a rewarding contract position dedicated to providing vital speech and language services to students in a supportive, collaborative environment. This in-person opportunity, located near Odessa, DE, runs from July 6, 2026, through August 6, 2026, with orientation and set-up on the first day. You’ll work Tuesday through Thursday, with some flexibility in staff hours based on assignment site. For candidates interested in extending their impact, there's an option to add Mondays by serving preschool itinerant students in local community childcare settings.

Open assignments include two Speech-Language Pathologists supporting a center-based preschool caseload, and one Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in high school and transition programs for ages 18–22.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Active state licensure or eligibility in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) also considered
  • Experience in pediatric school settings, early childhood, or high school/transition services strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and school-based documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators and families

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students per IEP goals
  • Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support
  • Participate in team meetings and orientation activities
  • Adhere to district and program protocols
