This contract role spans from July 6, 2026, to August 6, 2026, with orientation on July 6. Work in a supportive school setting located in the Odessa, DE area, collaborating closely with fellow professionals and making a meaningful impact. Staff hours vary by location, and all roles are in-person only.
Openings include:
- 2 SLPs for a center-based preschool caseload, with the option to add Mondays supporting preschool itinerant students in community childcare settings.
- 1 SLP for a high school and 18–22-year-old transitional student caseload.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY)
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-based populations
- Knowledge of IEP processes, service documentation, and assessment tools
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and individualized student support
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varying schedules and environments
What You’ll Do:
- Serve students with diverse needs, conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing targeted therapy
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff and families to support academic and functional communication goals
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all state, federal, and district requirements
- Adjust interventions as needed for students’ unique learning trajectories
- Engage in orientation and ongoing team meetings to foster a positive, collaborative culture
