School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Odessa, Delaware

This full-time contract role centers on providing speech-language services to preschool and kindergarten students, including those participating in an Autism program and inclusive classroom settings. The assignment is a maternity leave coverage, beginning mid-November and ending in early March, with no students during the week of Thanksgiving.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY)
• Prior school-based experience, especially with early childhood and Autism programs, is highly valued
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to evidence-based, individualized interventions
• Must be available for in-person work at a campus near Odessa, DE

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language therapy to preschool and kindergarten students in both self-contained and inclusive settings
• Support students with a range of communication needs, with emphasis on those in the Autism program
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Work closely with teachers, special educators, and other school professionals to ensure consistent support
• Monitor student progress, complete documentation, and participate in team meetings
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and progress
