Make an impact supporting students as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic, student-focused special education setting. Two roles are currently available for motivated, equity-minded SLPs eager to foster communication growth in school-age children and adolescents. Both positions are full-time with an 8-hour schedule Monday through Friday, but candidates seeking a slightly reduced schedule are welcome to apply for the second role, which covers several sites throughout Multnomah County.

What you'll bring:

  • Active Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA CCC required
  • Prior experience supporting students in educational or pediatric settings
  • Strong understanding of AAC systems and ability to tailor them to individual student needs
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusivity, and visionary support for students with diverse backgrounds
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
  • Organizational skills to manage time, paperwork, and multiple caseloads across assignments
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and coach school teams and support staff

Responsibilities include:

  • Assess and provide direct instruction to students with language impairments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively with staff and families
  • Integrate AAC solutions into classroom settings, providing hands-on guidance and professional development to educators
  • Supervise and support SLPAs as required
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and assist with Medicaid billing documentation
  • Contribute to ongoing program improvement with agency-wide perspective
