A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support children ages 3–5 in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs. This in-person, contract role begins in mid-August and extends through January, with the possibility of continuing until June. The position focuses on serving young learners and their families across homes and community preschool settings in East Multnomah County.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP licensure and CCC required
- Previous experience or strong interest in Early Childhood Special Education
- Ability to provide speech and language services in both home-based and preschool environments
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with families and educational teams
- Reliable transportation for travel between settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative SLP services to children ages 3–5 with diverse communication needs
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized goals, and document progress for each child
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Adapt therapy sessions to a variety of learning environments, including homes and community preschools
- Support transition planning for children entering kindergarten
