Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with students in EC-8th grade, is highly valued
- ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) number is required for consideration
- Familiarity with collaborating under union guidelines
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 45 students; additional support for a secondary caseload of 25 students shared with another SLP
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized plans for students' communication needs
- Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain compliance with district and state requirements
- Engage with teachers, parents, and staff to support an inclusive learning environment
- Deliver therapy and consultations strictly in-person (virtual services not available for this position)
