Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant working with students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade! This full-time contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, supporting learners with a variety of speech and language needs. The school environment offers a collaborative setting where you will work with a range of mixed severity cases, helping students achieve communicative success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in SLPA program (as applicable)
- Current SLP-CCC or SLPA license in Illinois, or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF) considered
- Experience working with PK-8 students preferred, but new graduates and CFs are welcome to apply
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, teachers, and caregivers
- Ability to adapt therapy for students with a range of abilities and backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop intervention plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Deliver direct therapy services individually and in small groups
- Work collaboratively with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals in the classroom
- Document student progress and prepare required reports in a timely manner
- Support families and teachers in understanding and implementing therapy recommendations
- Maintain compliance with IEPs and all state/federal regulations
