Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting, specifically with elementary-aged students.
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly valued but not required.
- Licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Illinois.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to elementary students, including assessment, diagnosis, therapy development, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and interventions in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing a positive, inclusive environment for all students.
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and support team initiatives.
