A rewarding opportunity awaits an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist who thrives in a collaborative, school-based environment and is passionate about supporting student success. This full-time, contract position begins in September and concludes in mid-December, providing critical maternity leave coverage within a supportive academic community near Chicago. The role is onsite only and offers the chance to impact 4th through 8th-grade students (approximately 45-50 on the caseload) through both direct and indirect service delivery.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current and active Illinois SLP license/certification required.
  • Holds or eligible for SLP-CCC or actively pursuing CFY.
  • Prior experience in a school setting working with pediatric populations, especially grades 4–8, highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving caseload needs and maintain thorough documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for assigned students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families.
  • Deliver both direct and consultative services, addressing student goals in diverse settings.
  • Maintain detailed records in compliance with school and state guidelines.
  • Engage in IEP meetings, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Contribute to a positive, student-focused environment.
