Step into an engaging role providing vital support to middle school students as a Speech Language Pathologist this school year. This contract position, conveniently located near Orlando, FL, offers a fulfilling opportunity to collaborate with a supportive school environment and make a daily difference in students’ academic and personal growth.
As the dedicated SLP for a single middle school site, you’ll work closely with a diverse population of grades 6 through 8. Your expertise will help students develop effective communication skills, directly impacting their classroom success and confidence. Your caseload will include 60-65 students, allowing for meaningful, individualized interventions.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a current Florida State License in Speech Language Pathology
- Possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Graduated with a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Must complete timely district background check, fingerprinting, and requested credentialing processes
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Document sessions and maintain compliance with school policies and timelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
You’ll enjoy the stability of a single-site, full-time schedule—35 hours per week—through May 2027, supporting continuity in your practice and meaningful connections with students.
