Make an impact working with students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment in a supportive educational environment near Orono, ME. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with school staff to help students build communication skills essential for academic and social success. Both CCC and CFY candidates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid license to practice as an SLP in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is advantageous
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language difficulties
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student progress
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions both individually and in small groups
