Make a positive impact on elementary students’ lives as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist working on a contract through June 2027. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a supportive educational team and empower K-5 students near Ortonville, MI, as they build their communication skills. Your expertise will help support a caseload of approximately 42 inspiring young learners, guiding them toward their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Michigan SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; clinical fellows (CFY) also encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in school-based SLP settings, particularly with K–5th grade, is a plus
- Strong skills in assessments, treatment planning, and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in grades K–5
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and update goals as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development
- Maintain accurate records and data collection for compliance and program planning
- Provide consultation and resources for staff and families regarding best communication practices
