Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Oskaloosa, IA

Ideal candidates will have:

• A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellowship (CFY) candidates considered
• Previous experience working in a school environment, or a strong interest in school-based services
• Solid knowledge of IEP development and the special education process
• Effective communication, organizational, and time-management skills

In this position, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations
• Developing individualized intervention plans based on students’ unique needs
• Providing direct therapy for students with a variety of communication disorders
• Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records as required
• Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Offering consultation and support to teachers and families regarding speech-language strategies
• Adapting approaches to meet students’ diverse learning styles and needs
