Ideal qualifications and experience include:

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current SLP-CCC certification required
  • Previous experience in a school-based SLP role
  • Knowledge of special education processes and IEP documentation
  • Effective communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • MN state licensure (or willingness to obtain prior to start)

As a vital member of the educational team, responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and diagnosing communication disorders
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
  • Conducting group and individual therapy sessions
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records and progress notes
  • Consulting with educators and parents to maximize student progress
  • Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
