A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school located in Oswego, NY, serving primarily elementary students with some high school students included. This contract position spans the 2025–2026 school year, from September through June, offering a structured environment to support student growth in speech and language development.

Role Overview:
In this role, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, conducting assessments, delivering targeted therapy, and collaborating closely with educators and families. Your contributions will be integral to fostering an inclusive atmosphere that supports academic and social success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Provide direct therapy services tailored to each student's unique needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement appropriate accommodations and modifications
  • Monitor student progress regularly and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed
  • Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to goal setting and planning
  • Offer guidance and support to parents and caregivers, enhancing continuity of care

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant educational laws
