School Speech Language Pathologist - Oswego, NY

A rewarding contract opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a K-12 public school setting for the 2025–2026 academic year. This role centers on supporting primarily elementary students and some high schoolers in their communication and language development. With a caseload of approximately 28 students, you will engage daily in assessment, therapy, and collaborative planning alongside educational professionals and families to create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Working from September through June, you’ll experience both the beautiful surroundings of Upstate New York and the satisfaction of contributing to student growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing in-depth speech and language assessments and developing individualized therapy plans
• Delivering direct therapy tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborating with teachers and staff to provide accommodations and modify curricula
• Tracking student progress and refining intervention strategies as necessary
• Actively participating in IEP meetings and supporting individualized goal development
• Serving as a resource for parents and caregivers with ongoing guidance and communication

Desired qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active state SLP license or eligibility to secure one
• Background or experience working with school-aged students preferred
• Strong ability to communicate and collaborate within a team
• Familiarity with IEP procedures and special education requirements

This position follows the school calendar, aligning your schedule with regular school hours, holidays, and breaks.
