A rewarding contract opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a K-12 public school setting for the 2025–2026 academic year. This role centers on supporting primarily elementary students and some high schoolers in their communication and language development. With a caseload of approximately 28 students, you will engage daily in assessment, therapy, and collaborative planning alongside educational professionals and families to create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Working from September through June, you’ll experience both the beautiful surroundings of Upstate New York and the satisfaction of contributing to student growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing in-depth speech and language assessments and developing individualized therapy plans
- Delivering direct therapy tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to provide accommodations and modify curricula
- Tracking student progress and refining intervention strategies as necessary
- Actively participating in IEP meetings and supporting individualized goal development
- Serving as a resource for parents and caregivers with ongoing guidance and communication
Desired qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state SLP license or eligibility to secure one
- Background or experience working with school-aged students preferred
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate within a team
- Familiarity with IEP procedures and special education requirements
This position follows the school calendar, aligning your schedule with regular school hours, holidays, and breaks.
