Step into an engaging opportunity to provide speech-language therapy services in a supportive K-12 environment. This full-time contract position is geared towards dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) who are passionate about helping students reach their fullest communication potential. While the primary focus is the upcoming academic year, there is also an immediate need for end-of-school-year (EOSY) coverage should you be available sooner.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP-CCC certification
  • Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Kansas or eligibility to obtain
  • Previous school-based or pediatric therapy experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ communication abilities and conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations
  • Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with student needs
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services, both individual and group
  • Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Serve as a resource for school staff and parents regarding speech-language development and interventions
  • Engage with faculty and families to facilitate student success
