Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Kansas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or readiness to complete Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) during this assignment
  • Familiarity or prior experience with school-based therapy (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other service providers

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language services to assigned students
  • Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations as required
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document progress, maintain records, and complete necessary reports
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support each student’s unique needs
  • Communicate regularly with educators and families regarding student performance and progress
